If you’re a child of the 60’s or maybe 70’s (when dinosaurs still roamed the earth), you’ll remember the song. “Leaving on a jet plane.”
The song was written and recorded by John Denver in 1966, but didn’t chart. Recorded by Peter, Paul and Mary in 1969 and was a hit.
The reason that the song is playing in my head now is that we are scheduled to fly to Cape Town tonight – via Jo’burg.
We’re both celebrating milestone birthdays, so doing a big trip.
