England, Green and Pleasant Land

Do you know why England is green? Because it rains so much. But not whilst we have been here. We’ve only had about 2 days of rain on the last 3 and a bit weeks.

Some photos of the last few places we visited:

Oxford

Bridge of Sighs

The School of Divinity

The Radcliffe Camera

St John’s College

An old geezer outside an old hat shop

A Saxon Tower (pre 1040)

The Ashmolean Museum

? About 500-450 BC

Pottery from around 5000 years ago. Madonna and Child.

Hercules and the Nemean lion

The Turf Tavern – 12th century

Where ex-Australian PM, Bob Hawke, set a world record for drinking a yard of ale – 11 seconds!

Have to go – special birthday to celebrate. More later.

Until next time…
