Adelaide, you Beauty!
26-31 March. This comes as a little bit of a surprise to me. I’ve been to Adelaide a few times before, had a fleeting glimpse of the city, and headed for the hills. Now we are parked within walking distance of the centre and have walked in a couple of times. I see it very differently.

For a start, the centre is surrounded by parks. Big parks with beautiful trees! How cool is that? In that ring of parks is the Botanic Garden and the Zoo. It is very beautiful and so good for the environment.

Walking to church yesterday (we walk most everywhere), we were on a beautiful tree-lined street, which had power lines going in between the branches! Western Power/Synergy take note. It can be done. The difference it makes to a street is amazing.

Before Adelaide, we stayed in Nuriootpa, Hahndorf, and a farm near Lobethal – free camping. We travelled the Adelaide Hills extensively, getting the fridge fixed in Tank and also getting Tank serviced. All good now.

Yesterday, we did a big drive – big for us – from Adelaide to Robe (340km), on our way to the Great Ocean Road and Victoria. There was a stretch of road that was signed to have no services for 140km. I thought, surely not. It was true. Virtually nothing.
Robe is a pretty little town, especially when the sun comes out. ๐ It also has a good selection of coffee shops. Big tick.

Until next time…

It was the highlight of my week- catching up with you both ๐ Loved hearing about your adventures. You really made me think when you spoke about the Adelaide hills being beautiful, remembering back to when I used to cycle the Adelaide hills weekly coz I was so in love with the scenery amidst my warped love of elevation at the time. I didnโt realise we had a unique power line system ๐ค Nor did I remember that thereโs no service for 140km even tho we just recently did that same trip. Your sunrise pictures are beautiful ๐ Some day Iโll discipline myself to waking up to catch the sunrise! Enjoy your journey,
God go before you xx
